Hi all,
I'm looking to sell my mbp, which isn't in the greatest shape, and have no idea how to price it (probably selling on my local craigslist). Hoping y'all can help :)
Here are the specs..

THE GOOD
(model identifier macbookpro1,1)
Macbook Pro Core Duo 2.0 GHz
2 GB Ram 667 (max)
ATI Radeon X1600 128mb vram
new battery (15 cycles, 5352 capacity)
new 85w ac adapter (the new smaller, square ones)
logic board replaced 2 years ago
works like a charm, runs cs4, games, etc. quite nicely

THE BAD
Superdrive not working (sometimes reads, tries to write but usually fails - could just be dust?)
LCD badly damaged - 3 black blotches around the edges, and some lines crisscrossing it
minor scratches on case - quite a few on right corner (beside superdrive slot)

any thoughts? I saw the same model with a fried logic board on craigslist going for 600 recently - don't know if s/he sold it for that or not, though.
Thanks :)

i recently sold a 2.16 Macbookpro 2,1. Ask for 1200, sold for 1000. It was in 8/10 shape. good superdrive and LCD. tough times, what can you say.

Hmmm I would break it up and sell the parts. Or track down a used screen and replace it.

For the Superdrive try cleaning the lens with a cleaner CD as it probably is coated in dust causing your intermittent issues.

that busted LCD is really gonna bring the price down

i probably wouldn't pay more than 500 for something like that. if you could fix the LCD, maybe 800
