I know GM and Chyrsler are hot and heated topics but I thought GM was putting the Camaro on hold as it might P!ss people of if they built it....well here is the proof that they built it to save thier sorry arses with tax payers and Gov't bail out money. The pictures are from me driving home to Guelph on the 401 today. Good start with the environmental responsible cars eh?

I've seen them coming out of Oshawa for a few weeks now.
What you really want to look at is the field just to the east of Downsview airport at the SW corner of Sheppard and the Allen. Its FULL of Dodge and Chrysler vehicles.

Doesn't LOOK good, but it's hard to say WHEN those were built...pre or post announcement...and they may be just using up parts inventory before they shut down the line.

GM never said they were canceling the Camaro, the only thing they canceled recently was their SS division of products.

I'm at the Camaro plant in Oshawa almost every day delivering parts...it's business as usual. Full production started middle of February.

I want to see it up close...I saw a pre-prod model and it looked awesome! I was told what is being built isn't quite the same...I'll have to keep my eye on the dealerships...

Saw one on the weekend while out getting groceries. Meh, whatever, doesn't do anything for me at all (especially in bright orange or whatever the hell colour that was). Not quite the right car for the times either. Buh-bye GM.
