Okay, lets put it to a vote. If I have a good offer to promote at Carbon do EhMac viewers want to see it? If not, I won't, but as a Mac user I know I like to see good deals mentioned on EhMac. After all, most Mac specials you see online are in the US which is less than ideal for us Canadians. My 2¢.

In my mind, I think you answered the question yourself when you said "sweet deal to promote". If you're promoting it, don't do it here, with a new topic.

If someone is talking about getting one, or asking about where or what to buy, or there is a relevant related thread, by all means let them know what is available. New topics that are all about moving a product is where my toe goes to scratch the line in the sand.

Hopefully others will chime in with their own thoughts. I do appreciate that your thread topic doesn't mention the specific deal.

It's not really a dig at Carbon, and a 1-time thing isn't really going to get many people's panties in a knot, but the thing to keep in mind is what Carbon gets away with, every other reseller should be able to get away with. And I wouldn't like where that would be going.

Now if Carbon gets favours that no-one else does, that's really up to the Mayor, but I would like to see it spelled out up front.
