Last night I came home from work and plugged in my iPhone into my laptop to charge it up and when I went to slide to open my touch screen wasn't responding. I tried to re-jailbreak it but nothing still the same problem, I haven't dropped it and I can't figure it out. ANY suggestions out there from anyone, is there any other options I can do myself? Any respectable repair shops in or around the Markham area I can bring it too. I'm at my wits end please help me out.
Thanks for the replies

Did you do a complete reset/restore of the iPhone from iTunes?

No I just started the jailbreak process over again and nothing, I will try that now. Chas I can always count on you to be up at this hour no matter where you live, I think this is the second time you have been lurking :D

Tried to restore it from iTunes it worked for one slide and then nothing. I think I'm SOL and I have very few options. Any other suggestions?

Well, now that it's back to being un-jailbroken, you can take it in to the Apple Store there and see what they have to say. Can't hurt, might help.

The thing is that it's a 1st Gen phone and does it matter that I live in Canada?

I phoned around and got some quotes to fix my phone, 240 was the most expensive. I have an appointment with a Mac genius tomorrow at Fairview to see what my options are. If it will cost over 150 I will just sell my phone for parts and pick up a 16 Gb iphone. Wish me luck.......
