What was with that episode? it was really weird. Time traveling to Europe and all the US Foreign policy satire. Really preachy and not even that funny.

My own "time machine" is set for watching it at 9pm, I'll let you know what I thought of it.

It seemed like a long, long, long way to go in order to put a "McCain/Palin" button on a virtual mini-Hitler.

Loved the Raiders/Back to the Future references.

Sorry I didn't report in a timely fashion, but I did watch it.

These "Road to" episodes are parodies of old movies, and that's essential to bear in mind. In this case, there was a twist on the gag in that this time they didn't get to be Hope & Crosby (or even Martin & Lewis). I found it very funny in quite a few places, but I did get the feeling that this one was more for the animation dept's pleasure than ours. Lots of impressive-looking, not-commonly-seen-on-this-show shots.

Not sure what you mean by "preachy," mac-man6. I didn't see anything in the episode that seemed like direct (or even indirect) comment on US foreign policy. Didn't even see the McCain/Palin pin, I do not think that was intended as the "point" in any way whatsoever -- just a little joke for the sharp-eyed.

The Raiders/Marx Brothers/Back to the Future/etc references along with the expansive artwork seemed to me to be the point, and consequently I thought it was pretty funny. "Road to Rhode Island" is still the best of these, though.
