I would like to announce the launch of the first ever Toronto Stiga Table Hockey League. Every NHL city in Canada has a Stiga league except Toronto (Calgary is starting one up this year as well). Even Regina and Winnipeg have leagues. Entering its first season, we hope to create a lot of buzz and enthusiasm to form an exciting new league to carry forward for years to come.

The Toronto Stiga Table Hockey League (TSTHL) will be made up of table hockey enthusiasts from the Greater Toronto Area, who enjoy competing on Stiga table hockey games. Newcomers to the game are most welcome. The TSTHL will allow players to use their own teams and team names, and give players of all skills the opportunity to improve their play, compete, meet new friends, and most of all — have fun.

We're currently recruiting players to join the league which will start in early November 2008, once a week on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings at 7PM. When completing the sign-up form, please indicate your preferred evening, and we will then choose the most requested day as the official meeting time for weekly league play.

The TSTHL 2008/2009 season will be held at a downtown Toronto loft at 535 Queen Street East, Studio 6. Games will last 5 minutes in duration, and complete game stats will be recorded and published on the TSTHL website on a weekly basis. Even your individual players will compete for scoring titles! Ice surfaces will be treated with silicone lubricant for 'slick' game play, and all games with be refereed by fellow league members.
