Is there a way to downgrade iTunes back to v7?

could I just delete iTunes 8 and get a copy of iTunes 7 from another computer and put that in my applications folder?

Yes.

That'll downgrade the application. I'm pretty sure iTunes 8 makes changes to your library. You could wind up losing your album artwork.

Simply rename iTunes 8 to 'iTunes NEW' and drag in iTunes 7 from another Mac. That way you aren't replacing the application just in case.
