Hi, I've searched through the forums and haven't come up with an answer yet, so I thought I would post a new thread. Is it still possible to get an iphone from buffalo as a Canadian? Can you still just walk in and buy one without any hassles? I am considering purchasing one from buffalo, as I still have my AT&T sim from the States, but do not want to update my contract (I have the North America plan that is no longer offered, and don't want to lose it).
Has anyone tried to get a 3G iphone from buffalo since the Canadian release? Any help/tips would be appreciated.

Nope...you can't leave the store without a new contract on either side of the border.

I'm pretty sure AT&T has a non-contract price actually.

It's not an option yet....it's still coming soon.

So is it still an option to sign a contract and then cancel it, paying the break fee? Anybody else have luck getting a 3G iphone without an AT&T contract from the Apple store or AT&T retail?

Docb, have you considered eBay? This might be your best bet.

I've considered ebay, but the prices are pretty outrageous at the moment - $700+ for a 16GB iphone. At that rate I'd rather sign and break a contract (299 iphone + 35 activation + 175 break fee= 509). I would rather just be able to buy the phone and slip in my AT&T sim, but it looks less and less likely that this is an option right now.
