Been having some real trouble with getting my PC to boot into Windows or Safe Mode. Was wondering if I am able to remove the SATA drive and install it in my Powermac G5 to get some data off of the drive before reinstalling XP. I can't seem to get the option to come up for a WIndows Repair with my OEM Recovery CD. Will my Powermac recognize the drive?

It might ... depends how badly damaged it is and how the partitions are setup on the drive. You won't hurt the drive by putting it in the G5 so give it a shot and let us know.

Macs can, as a matter of course, read FAT32 formatted drives easily. NTFS-formatted drives may also come up, but are read-only (which is all you need for recovering files).

I ended up formatting and reinstall. Thanks.
