I'll start with the finder question: can you enlarge the icons, or are you stuck with whatever size they are by default?

About Aperture: My mother has a trillion photos (somewhere around 25,000 and counting). She likes iPhoto because it's easy to use, however, it doesn't offer many of the features included in Aperture. So, is Aperture easy enough to use, so that my mom wouldn't be so lost?

Based on your subject line, I am assuming the icons you mean are the sidebar ones. As far as I know there is no way to change them currently (in 10.4.11 anyway). Look at versiontracker for a 3rd party app that mods system appearance.

what version OS X are you running?

Wow I can't believe I was as broad as that in my description! Sorry... I had to rewrite it all, and skipped a few things.

Ok about the sidebar, in 10.4, when you added items to your sidebar, they dynamically resized to how much space you had. In 10.5, I can't find a way to enlarge the icons. Currently 10.5.2

Thanks, and sorry!
