So I just bought a Power mac Dual 2.3 with 16 GB Ram, for $500... Thrilled with the deal I got. I am moving to Van to go to VFS and I'm looking in upgrading the Hard Drives. It has a 250 inside right now, but I was wondering if I would be able to replace the existing hard drive with a 750GB or 1TB Seagate, then add the same drive in the addition spot, and RAID 0 them. I know the trouble with RAID 0 so please spare me the comments on why I shouldn't do it.

Just want to know it's possible. I don't see why it wouldn't work, but wanted to make sure first.

$500 where did you find that deal? And yes that will work.

Better off splitting the functions between drives than RAIDing

Scratch disk
Data Disk
System/Apps disk

I got it off a friends friend, who has more money than he knows what to do with. So I ended up with the killer deal.

Alright, that sounds like a good alternative. Now how would I go about spliting up the tasks? I'm guessing it's in Disk Utilities, but I really don't know what i'm looking for?
