I bought Aladdin Internet Cleanup 1.1 on a whim when I bought the full StuffIt Deluxe package on a discount code - it was so cheap I just said "why not"?
Anyway, when I installed this Internet Cleanup 1.1 on my newly-upgraded-to-Panther Yosemite Rev A 300MHz G3, I noticed that the system boot took much longer. I went to see if there was an update to deal with any Panther compatibility issues. There was a small upgrade, to version 1.1.1, which seemed to deal with the slow boot problem. But I saw that Aladdin was really pushing Internet Cleanup 2.0.
Now, my question: is there any real point to using this software on a Mac? It's pretty easy to wipe your history and empty your cache manually. I found there was stuff I thought it should have done which it didn't - like wipe the history of media players, or even the OSX recent applications and documents history. Is there anything it does that you can't do pretty easily without it? Is there anything about v 2.0 that is worth spending another US$20 in order to get?
Looking forward to your comments.
