No that won't work because of 240pin should be 200pin on the imac.

Canada computers have good deals.
Canada Computers - Memory > Notebook Memory > DDR2 667 PC2-5300 : CORSAIR ValueSelect 2GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Notebook Memory (VS2GSDS667D2). (http://www.canadacomputers.com/main.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=016082&cid=RAM.187.566)

Compare with Apple prices, you think that they're on drugs. The Apple Store (Canada) (http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/canadastore.woa/wa/RSLID?nclm=9AED2EE7) .

Nope... Have the same running in my imac with no problem. Take a look at this.

But did you see what Apple sells them for, 2gigs of ram. I figured at a dollar a gig that apple probably pays because of millions that they purchase at once. So 2gigs costing them 2 dollars charging 550 dollars thats a mark-up of 27500%, oh and taxes too.

I just realized that your imac is a late 2006, the ram specs are the same but installation is different from the link I posted earlier.
