I am putting together a DVD for my sister of her recent trip to Africa and when I drag some photos into iDVD to make a slideshow, the vertical (portrait) photos are all turned sideways. Is this just a screen representation and the final will be hunky-dory? Or not, and is there a way to rotate the files within iDVD?

The photos didn't come through iPhoto, but I previewed them in, what else but ... Preview. And, everything was in proper orientation there. What gives?

I mentioned it to the presenter at a local iMovie demo. I had a couple of photos in iPhoto that were oriented correctly but when put into iDvd changed.

He suggested (and he seemed to be familiar with the issue/bug):

From iPhoto - export the photo. Either reimport it back into iPhoto or take it straight into iDVD.

I have to admit that since I'd already burnt that project (with a different photo in that spot) that I have not yet tried this.
