In all seriousness, I think he probably is drinking again but we may never know for sure. Politicians' boozing remains the prime dirty secret that most reporters are willing to sweep under the rug, and any Washington reporter with privileges to protect will avoid the story unless it becomes unavoidable. All other talk will continue to come from fringe publications, bloggers, tabloids and late-night comics, and none of it is likely to amount to more than rumours.

Reminds me of a Canadian prime minister who was a notorious lush who dried out while in office. AFAIK this always remained an "open secret" that was rarely, if ever, discussed in print outside the confines of Frank Magazine. And here I am maintaining the tradition. :)
