: An iSync plug-in for Sony Ericsson K790a Mac support

Just in case anyone has recently purchased a Sony Ericsson K790a phone from, say, Rogers Wireless, and wants to sync it with their Mac, only to find out that this phone is not yet supported by Apple: there are some sites that sell plugins, but there are some that give them away also. It's a legal download:

http://mroach.com/stuff/SonyEricsson-K790.phoneplugin.zip

You should first extract the archive file, and then move/copy it to:
/Library/PhonePlugins
You may not have that folder, but you can just create it yourself.

By the way, you'll only be able to sync SE phones via bluetooth, not via USB data cable, from what I understand. Not like that's a hardship, if you have a bluetooth-enabled computer.

I bought one at http://mobile.feisar.com/plugins.html . It worked well.

Too bad I didn't know about this free alternative earlier!!!

Speaking of free alternatives, I haven't tried it yet, but apparently iSync 2.4 now supports the Sony Ericsson K790A.

Fait accomplit!

After the 10.4.9 update my iSync will no longer launch... Anyone know where I can get a copy of the app?

The new version of iSync requires that you delete the plug-in for the K790A, and I can now confirm that this phone is supported from within iSync, sans plug-in.

It also synchronized my Nokia smartphone.
