I haven't read anything by Andy Ihnatko before. Glad you posted that, Mac, he has a nice way with words. I liked 'protein-rich' to describe the feel of real software.

Over here, there is an irritating, little-girly giggly sort of reaction to the iPhone. From the BBC, and from what I've read in just a couple of supposedly quality papers, 'IT' correspondents seem to have to adopt a silly 'Ooooh! Look what Apple's gone and invented now, tee-hee' style of reportage. I think the media in this country might be locked into a Wintel Kultur, despite the UK having seven Apple Stores.
