I think this headline is prophetic.

Paul, very true, if one considers the connotation to be his leadership or Canada's leadership in world affairs. Flags were again at half staff on provincial buildings here in St.John's for the 5th soldier from NL to have died in action.

What a load! Harper doesn't have family serving in Afganistan. The only price he is paying is lousy poll results.

Signs. Things to come. Future stuff. That which hasn't happened yet.

Speaking in Calgary on Thursday night, Harper praised Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan, saying they are well aware of the risks involved in their work there.

He actually went to Afghanistan. If you think flying through that airspace is safe, think again. That country is filled with shoulder launched missiles and that's what defeated the Soviets.

Think again on the poll results as well.

57% of Canadians support this mission.

38% of people voted Conservative in the last election so support for this mission goes well beyond the Conservative base.

The reality is that if you join the Military, you just might be called upon to fight and die. Our soldiers understand this concept. Do you?

tried to find details (question asked) on the poll, but it's pay per view only

and do you understand the concept of a "bad war?"
or does harpo not fart either?

I support this mission, but I think we need to do some things better. For example:

1. Define a clear objective;
2. Provide more reconstruction activities; and,
3. Presenting a 'case' to the public as to why we are there.

I see we're down to the intellectual side of the debate now. ;)

It depends on where one's intellect is located, I suspect.

Surely you don't mean, . . . there?
