My cell phone has just died after an unplanned lake swim. Can anyone with pos or neg experience with current phone offerings help? I'd like to replace it this weekend; really just looking for good reception in a small package & decent battery life but BT or synching with Mac would be a plus.

815 Moto is a very nice phone - I don't sync h

here's a success

Pair the 'virgin' phone with your mac. Then add the BT headset, and other items to your mac later.

I found it to be finicky in this regard, but otherwise, the E815 is an awesome phone to sync via BT.

Once it works, it should be okay.

Also, in case you are not aware, you have to disconnect the BT from your phone if paired with another item (like a headset) before syncing with your mac. BT only allows 2 items to speak to each other at a time.

Simply turn your headset off and you should be okay to sync with your mac.

Once it you get it to work, it should be sync and play thereafter.

Great phone.

E815 syncs just perfectly and the bluethooth works well to get pics, music and videos off (or on) the phone.

another vote for the e815.

I even picked up a bluetooth moto headset off of ebay for 30 bucks.

Because of everything I've read about the e815 here, and elsewhere, I'm definitely getting that phone for my wife & I when our Bell plans expire at the end of September.
I hear it has good reception, and battery life too.

I've been very pleased with it. I even use some of the toys I didn't think I would. Get a set of 590a Bluetooth headphones to complete the treat.

My wife has the Motorola RAZR phone from Bell Mobility; it seems to sync fine, although we don't do it often.

When she first got it, it wouldn't sync, but after the most recent major software update, it works like a charm.

Thanks for all the replies but I managed to nurse my phone back to life. At the same time I was psyched to have a newer phone so when the cell #s become portable (Feb '07 ?), I may go GSM.
