Finally moving my accounting OFF an old Titanium PowerBook under OS 9 to use AccountEdge on OS X.

Am in need of a bookkeeper to come in and get things updated, a bit behind... and use AccountEdge on a Mac G5.

Anyone know of anyone?

Thank in advance.

I'm using Accounts from Nano Software for my small company.

http://www.nano.com.au

Great piece of software for the price (only $35 USD). My accountant asked me what software I was using because all my reports were so easy to read and to understand.

I'm using a Intuit's QuickBooks Accounts for Mac (which is really MYOB AccountEdge. Not to be confused with the American version of QuickBooks for Mac). It works quite well for my needs, but unfortunately it's becoming dated. Which makes me wonder--how did you get MYOB AccountEdge in Canada? As far as I know, the product won't manage Canadian businesses at all. At least, that's what the folks at MYOB told me.

I too use the Quickbooks Accounts for Mac solution. the only thing that I really miss in the software is the ability to import the bank records directly ala Quicken or Quickbooks for the PC. Other than that I have bee using it for nearly 4 years and it still does what I need it to do.

Hi there,

Apparently there is one Canadian rep who offers it - www.freshinsight.com

I got this from the MYOB support because they no longer support it.

But I am not 100% sure I am going to migrate to AccountEdge just yet. I need to find a bookkeeper first and may need to switch to whatever they prefer.

Still looking for bookkeeping services... Warden & Kingston Rds.

Thanks.

Oh, I'd recommend you go with Account Edge - if you liked MYOB, you will like AE on OSX - you can just import your old MYOB account. I use it and love it, and my accountant is perfectly happy with the reports I generate. You can also export to CaseWare.

Learning a new accounting program is such a pain - if you're used to MYOB, going to Account Edge will be a much less steep learning curve. And accountants are there to serve YOU, not the other way around. ;)
