For anyone interested in what may very well be built into Leopard (in some form), check out this video from Sun:

The 3D desktop environment show in this footage is awesome. You have to wait through about a minute of intro, but it's well worth it.

kinda too much for me..is all that really useful or just eyecandy? I love expose' because it has a purpose. I just couldnt sit there and change my windows 20 different ways seems silly...cool though but why do I need the big window and watch the same thing in the small one? useless..

Looks more like Vista than Mac OS X. The dock at the bottom looks like objectdock, the way they do an expose look-a-like (slantways minimize). The transparency which looks like its going to be annoying after a while.

Other than the glitz... is there anything useful about it? I'm thinking no.

Why are developers leaning towards whizz-bang features when we really need a better way to organize, display and access information and features. I don't know about you, but I don't look for music by looking at CD faces. I don't want to play a video game-like operating system... seriously--flipping windows? I'd wager Gravol will be making a bit of a profit increase from those getting motion sickness with the desktop moving in the background while people try to work with their windows doing backflips. :lmao:

I just recently bought a mac with Mac OS X Tiger. How much $$$ do you think the upgrade to Leopard will be?

Tiger is $149, I expect Leopard will be about the same.

I can see a 3D desktop/user interface being somewhat useful when it comes to CAD or 3D design work, but other than that, it makes for pretty eye candy! :)
