I have a DVD of a friends performance that she would like worked with. A better menu, short title introduction easy stuff. But I have never ripped a DVD and then had to edit the contents before. Yes in my hooligan days I might have rpped aDVD to avoid buying it... but c'mon Porky's was a classic!!

Any way is there any way to rip the "main feature" from a DVD and then edit it and hence create a new DVD...

Thanks

It really depends on what software you want to use. If you are using iMovie/iDVD:

Using Handbrake, rip the material with MPEG4 (Simple Profile).

Edit it in iMovie (iMovie HD in iLife 05 supports MPEG4).

Export to iDVD. Re-author.

Done!
