I was a little skeptical before, but I am hearing more and more rumblings about this. I would love to see a Intel powered notebook in the early new year. The only question is what processor would power it. I will possibly wait till we see a dual core processor in an Apple notebook before I take the bait.

Why would anyone buy a new Mac now? This keeps getting more interesting.

Because they need one today. Regardless of when announced, we're looking at no less than 2-3 months before delivery. 3 months is a lot of time, especially when the machine is for work related purposes.

I'm not sure I want to be a guinea pig on the rev As really. I'll be ready when they come out with the new one with the newer faster processor.

The challenge is not to make an Intel Mac. It's to make a better-than-PC Intel Mac.

Um, with OS X, can you really call it a challenge?

Apple's always been about the software over the hardware and with Tiger, it's leaps ahead of Longdead.
