Alrighty, I have made a few movies with my PC, mainly in AVI Files and MPEG files. For some reason, Quicktime on the mac has defaulted to be the default viewer. When I try to "open with" with windos media player, that option is greyed out.

I can't open my of my AVI and MPEG files due to codec problems.
The ones I can open, I can't put into fullscreen with quicktime.

HELP!

Thanks!

I'd love to be able to use another program other than quicktime, unless ofcourse I can find all the proper codecs, and make quicktime go to fullscreen. Then, I'd be happy enough with it.

Thanks!

Cheers!

Try VLC. You should be able to get it from VersionTracker. It will open quicktime, avi, mpg, mpeg, +++. I don't think it will do Windows Media files but all else is great.

Macified, thanks so much, I tried it out, it works a treat. Is there a way to set that as the default player for these files?

Cheers!

Yes there is, Click on the file once, To highlight it, hit apple and i Key, it brings up the info and you can change that one or all to open in VLC
