I'm wondering which I should get now. I wonder what Nintendos new systems price will be like. I bet a whole lot less.

Nintendo will be less, just as the Cube was/is. It has no plans for DVD playback.
I'm going to be really suprised if Microsoft will even make its expected release time, Sony has already pushed their date back. Think it has anything to do with IBM not making the chips fast enough, or even maybe because they can't make the projected Ghtz speed? They'll learn what Apple has been dealing with for years now.

Hey...Being a mac user. I am WELL in touch with the phrase "you get what you pay for"
Trust me. I don't cheap out...it's in my blood...thats why i use a mac. it's WAY more expensive. for a reason...
of course...i can't really keep up with that price...
i bought my PS2 about 6 months ago. for 180 bucks. not 500 on the day it came out.

The price will most likely be $300 US and the release is most likely Nov. 4th so they have it out in time for the Thanksgiving shopping bonanza in the States. The fact that Ken Kutaragi has been shooting his mouth off about how expensive the PS3 will be has been a saviour for the idjits at microsquish who totally blew their showing at E3 this year. The big worry for would be 360 buyers is whether the initial shipment will have HD-DVD drives. Toshiba and microsquish recently signed an agreement and Bill has said there will be HD-DVD drives for the machine but the general concensus is that they don't have time to get them in for the first wave of consoles. Who knows how they're gonna deal with that.

The revolution will have DVD playback, but seriously, if you are buying (or bought) a Video game machine to play DVD's, you certainly aren't going for Quality.
As for the Price=Quality, I would strongly disagree ESPECIALLY when talking about the Consoles, my favorite one (I have all three) is the Gamecube. The games are actually fun. I only use my PS2 for online games. And the most expensive Xbox? Well let's say I'd have to DIG to get it out and hooked up.
