Alright, after around 3 weeks wqith a mac, I am so done. It's just boring using a comupter that never needs updates, never crashes unexpecctedly, and has no Adware.

What am i suposed to do, Looks for enlargement creamms, or dating sites with goolge? I want obnoxious adware to tell me where to find the best deals , so i can click before htinking annd send my personal informmation to god knows where.

Without the need to virus scan, dl Service pack 2.1, or defrag my drive what amm i supposed to do with my day? Work? chat on Forums? Play sims 2? How ddull? I like the action adventure off raising my blood preasure while searching in vain for a ccure to sad sack operating problemms. What a rip off, a computer with no fun stuff at all.

PS. There is some truth to this post. since the Ibook works so well, I haven't needed to come to ehmac for help, with the exception of the gimp thing.

Rofl, actually this is kinda true. Hey, I got a great idea the other day. One teacher of mine, high school teacher keeps a diary of his life since he was 15. I thought this was an awesome idea. Then I was exploring Mac OS X from apple's website. I discovered iCal. Why not keep a diary in iCal? Sync it with your iPod! Well, that's one of the things I'll do.

Hey I kinda missed zapping viruses and spyware too lol because I was so good at it.

But then again I still have to deal with Windows at work so I don't miss it too much. :P

You can always learn Applescript. It is the Mac's equivalent of adware in terms of unpredictableness. Debugging a piece of applescript is almost as much fun as zapping adwares...

LaTeX is another thing that you could learn. It is always to dig through newsgroup archieves trying to find the most beautiful way of typesetting mixed fractions...

Still seems you haven't learned how to use Spell Check-your PC heritage is showing ;) Take the time to get creative with your Mac-that's what the iApps are for and where Macs excel- doodle in GarageBand, play with some titles and effects in iMovie, etc. Have fun-for that other stuff, you might as well have stuck with a PC-they are of course- Better for Gaming  :D

Sorry this and the previous post were made on a dell! Why? I'm away from home ATM and lack the wireless connection. Recently I had the opppertunity to play Batlefield:rebla Assault or some such game, and halo. I thought wow, this is a great gaming PC. it was called an X-Box. I still would not elect for one of those green behemoths over my game cube.

One word:

Widgets. Well, that and MacJanitor which you can use to do those UNIX cron cleanups that are supposed to get done in the middle of the night but don't because little iBook is sleeping. Look on Google. I spend 3 minutes doing that this morning, and then like you went back to boredom. Maybe 10.4.3 will be coming soon.

I'm starting to think that the Mac community is bored in general - if you look at the various message boards, it's clear that most of us have too much time on our hands. Where else do you see people staying up late to watch and see if the Apple Store online updates, or waste a Saturday morning lining up to get into a store at Yorkdale that will be there the next day too?

Widgets...

i hate halo.

xbox is a BOX. i like my slim ps2 i hate the original ps2.

i don't understand when people say that a console is better for games. i mean, a computer will always have superior hardware...well maybe not with the new machines. but i don't see games with amazing graphics on consoles.

far cry? Half Life 2?

meh, i still find consoles fun. but if i had a decent computer, i would play them all there...

and to keep this post on topic.

i hear the 9550 is a much better engine. just could use more than 32 MB ram i guess...

saving it for the widescreens eh!??!
