Flipping through some flyers and came across this ad. Anyone have any experiences with this model hard drive. Is this compatible with my G4500 Dual? Looks like a pretty good deal.

This hard drive should work for you.As far as I know, any ATA iDE hard drive will work in your machine. The 8 MB cache buffer will give a slight speed bump, although the ATA/133 interface won't make a diference to you, but it is backward compatible.
I have a 60 gig Maxtor hard drive with (FDB) fluid dynamic bearings, and I find the drive to be quite quiet. Had it for about a year now and no complaints.

If I'm not mistaken the IDE HDD size limit on that G4 model is 120GB. So the 160GB will be seen as a 120GB on the MB IDE bus. If you use a PCI ATA card that limit can be defeated ...

if you don't mind coming into Toronto, CanadaComputers has that hard drive for $112.
