I just loaded about 4 gigs worth of old pictures from my PC to my new Mac recently, and for some reason, iPhoto will not recognize any of these old pictures.
The result is an Invalid File Prompt.
All my past photos were jpg's, so Im a little confused. Does anyone know a way around this?

My first step for a problem like this would be to see if you can open the jpg with an app like Photoshop, Image viewer, etc. Assuming you can open them, you will have to figure what the difference is between a bad and a good file. Perhaps they are CMYK? Maybe DPI? Maybe the extension is JPEG instaed of JPG?
Once you find the difference you will have to find a way to convert your images to the usable format.

Try opening them with GraphicConverter (http://www.lemkesoft.com/en/index.htm)
If that works, Then try doing a batch conversion of some of your
images to the image format that iPhoto will recognize.
