I can't remember what forum I found APM Tuner, but someone emailed me the app which quiets Powerbook drives by keeping the heads from parking all the time. Does anyone know of the gent who actually has the app. I lost it along with his email with it attached.

I guess I forgot to mention- all the download links are dead. It was someone who actually had a copy and emailed it to me. I've been searching the forums I usually visit but can't seem to find the post, which was about drive noise.

There is a link to the download for the OS X version but not the OS 9 version. HTH

Glad I was able to help out. I have the file on a backup disk somewhere but couldn't find it. I remembered that I had read about it in a Moore column and there you have it.

Would you post feedback on how it worked for you? I don't think that it will work on my Lombard unfortunately
