I've downloaded the various different versions from macupdate and downloads.com, but everytime i install it, it keeps crashing...none of them work! HELP! I can open the pdf's in illustrator or photoshop but they don't show the multiple pdf pages (or do they?) plus they take too long to start up. I trashed the preferences and still nothing. I really need something that will read pdf's because all my school projects are outlined on pdf's.

Have you tried just using Preview? It works for PDFs quite well, but nowhere near as good as Preview in 10.3 or Acrobat Reader.

ummm ok I just changed all pdf's to be opened by preview (picture viewer). I guess that'll be a quick fix for now. But does anyone know what's wrong?

andyizzle - Reader should work. Have you tried rebooting, repairing permissions?

I don't particularly like the new v6 because it loads so slowly.

I agree with chealion, Preview is a nice all-purpose reader.

Glad to help. And I for one can't wait for Preview on Panther. The Jaguar version doesn't allow you to search, is slow, and can be a pain to use because of those reasons. It works, but its nowhere near perfect at all. Come Friday I can read PDFs a whole lot better smile.gif
