We use a MacBook Pro as our media center for our speakers that surround our hot tub.

Is there a floating remote that will connect to the MacBook Pro and allow us to control itunes?

What do you mean by floating?

The Apple remote will do this.

An apple remote in a ziplock bag(keep some air in before sealing to make it float), would likely be the cheapest solution. Keep in mind you pretty much need a line of sight to your MBP for those remotes to work.

If you already have an iPod Touch/iPhone you could get the "remote" app from Apple, and a waterproof case for the device(probably don't want to risk using a ziplock bag to protect the expensive hardware). The beauty of this solution is the device would control iTunes over a Wifi network, so you don't have to have line of sight to your MBP.

The iPhone Touch idea might be a good one...Anyone else have anything to add?

Any serious answers? :)
