The "click" response on my 1011 MBAir has slowed down to the point where it becomes annoying.

There doesn't deem to be a setting to adjust that speed in System Preferences.
Anything I can do to speed the recognition of a click?
Roughly now it takes about 1/2 second for the click to register.

Doesn't anyone have any comments about this?

Is that slow rsponse normal?
This is the first MacAir I have bought, all the previous 15 inch MacPros had a pretty much instant 'click response'
I'm just wondering if there is a software setting I have missed, couldn't find any when I looked or if this is normal for a MacAir in which case I won't buy any more.


PS: Turns out the problem is the trackpad.
If I plug in a mouse, the click response is instantaneous.
