: price check- iPod Touch 4th G
csonni Jul 18th, 2012, 12:16 PM We're selling our iPod Touch 32GB 4th Gen and am wondering what an expected price would be. The back of the Touch is well worn but not dinged or dented. There are some faint scratches on the glass. It works flawless. Any ideas?
Kami Jul 18th, 2012, 12:45 PM The Apple refurb store has the 4th gen Touch 8 GB priced at $169 and the 32GB model at $249.

Maybe post ac ouple of photos so we can see its condition and base our estimates on that.
csonni Jul 18th, 2012, 02:20 PM Thanks. I think $100 off should do it.

Off the price you paid or the refurb price? So are you saying $200 or $150? Personally if I could get a completely scratch free refurb with a full warranty, that would be worth $75 (after tax) to me if you are going to ask for $200. But maybe that is just me.
robert Jul 18th, 2012, 03:54 PM also factor in the battery life of a 2 year old touch vs a refurb. I'd pay $100 - $150 depending on condition, pics needed.
Also, sept/oct is the projected product refresh date which will bring the price even lower.
kloan Jul 18th, 2012, 11:09 PM I sold mine for $180 to my sister.. it was in mint condition, barely any marks on the back and perfect on the front, with a balance of warranty. Compared to a lot of the asking prices I see for smaller capacities, I think it was a good deal.

In that condition it would definitely have been a good deal especially with some warranty left.
csonni Jul 19th, 2012, 12:06 PM I posted it this morning. I think I'd go with $150 if someone offered it.

I think that's fair.
robert Jul 19th, 2012, 07:04 PM checked the listing and it said it was a 3rd (non-retina display model) but it says here it is a 4th gen.
Which is right?
