Hi There,

Please help

I have MBA & Macbook.

Got new HP printer last Thursday. After many challenges and many hours on phone with HP returned printer today.

Went to Staples and bought a wireless Samsung.

Bottom line both printers worked with USB cable.

Spent 2hours on the phone with Samsung, and still can not print wirelessly. Both printers showed the wireless connection active.

What the hell is going on? Is it my apple hardware or my ISP provider

Thank You

This is internal, so definitely not your ISP. Perhaps your router is blocking certain ports internally? Perhaps the printer isn't set to DHCP and isn't getting an IP address from your router. Many small things could go wrong, but it's hard to diagnose without knowing what you did to try to get it working.

I had that same problem a couple of weeks ago, trying to get an Epson Workforce 610 to print wirelessly.

The printer could see the Wireless LAN, the Mac saw the printer, but I couldn't get it to work wirelessy - via USB it is fine.

In the end, after fiddling for an hour or so, it seems to me that there is some special Epson software that needs to be installed on the Mac for wireless printing and I'm sure that was never installed when the printer was first set up.
Maybe it's the same for Champcar.

I haven't found the time yet to download the additional software and install it - but I had an Epson Workforce 600 before, it was set up for wireless printing when it was first installed and that worked fine.

I also have a PC which I tried last night. Did the install in about 15 min.

It worked flawlessly

Now I am really stumped. Going to call Apple today
