: ITunes rejects password

Hve been using iTunes to download compact discs which are then in turn
trandferred to on of my various 2 gig Shuttles.

The problem is every thing I open iTunes it request my password; then tells me the password is not acceptable and dumps me out of iTunes.

I don't purchase apps, or products from iTunes. My music mix simply doesn't follow the noise called music of this day and age.

So I decide on a new Apple iTunes password, enter it according to the criteria list of a capital, a number etc etc. The password is accepted and then I can continue.
type it and the password is rejected, once again.

This has happened any number of times. Have dumped the iTunes preferences in the library and have racked my brain as to what is happening. The password is saved in the area on Safari (and Firefox) that requires such things but each time, a new password is rejected and I have to start all over again.

Oh and only with the most current version of iTunes
does this stupidity happen time and time again.
