A mini HDMI adapter?
So that you can hook up your iPhone/iPod directly to a TV to watch your video's?

Why would they do that when they've put so much effort into AirPlay? AirPlay will be built into Mountain Lion, too.

Also, there adapters already available to do this.

Those already exist. AirPlay now. No wires. Spend $110 for Apple TV.

Awhile ago I was reading this:

Apple Patent Reveals Plans for 3D on Steroids | News & Opinion | PCMag.com (http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2400126,00.asp)

I think that would be one nice feature to add to iOS devices.

whatever it is.. I'm just putting it out there.. I really dislike that "tall" iPhone design that's being leaked and rumoured.. I think it will look silly.. there. I got it out of my system!!

Whatever the new iPhone is I think Apple is going to be pretty aggressive with specs, design and price etc. They were right when they launched the 1st iPhone and said it was roughly 5 years ahead of the competition. Now that we're 5 years on I think they know they have to make a move. There's finally competition and Apple needs to maintain the momentum. Apple is scary smart at reading the market and I think they are going to release something pretty killer the next time around!

I will say that iOS6 is looking pretty dated to me. I think it's a great OS but it doesn't feel "current" anymore.

I also think that they might push this rumoured 7.85" iPad and make it the new iPod touch / gaming device. I'm not sure what sales have been like for the iPod touch but it feels like a reboot is in order and this might be the ticket. I also think it will position itself to take a bite out of the Kindle market. I think it will be cheap. Like, $199-ish.

I don't own an iPhone or iPad.

The iPhone and also the iPod both have the same problem,
the screen is too small for those of us with enormous hands.
Touch one icon and you get two icons. Have tried iPhones and
iPods belonging to others, the screen is too small or
maybe the icons are too large?

The local Bell Mobility store had a Samsung telephone, flat screen like the iPhone
however it was physically larger and it also had a neat pen for pointing
to what one would desire. As the pen slides in the bottom of the Sansung
would expect the pen to be lost in short order.

I am willing to wait for a physically larger iPod or iPhone, maybe the last quarter
of 2012, just in time for Christmas?

Based on your story, you must seriously have large hands! Nonetheless, I agree that the next iPhone should have a 4" screen and I think it will happen for sure. Apple's mobile screen size hasn't changed since the original in 2007. Also, the ETA is expected to be in September/October, so you should be able to pick one up in December if supply doesn't get too overwhelmed! ;)
