If they looked like this I would buy one. I know you can already sortta do this with a Nano but if this concept were to become reality it would blow away the "slap your Nano on your wrist" approach that is currently available.

Yeah I hear ya... I haven't worn a wrist watch for years...

Yeah pretty far fetched... it is a "concept" remember. Now if it could charged by taking it off at night and laying it on an induction charger that would be cool enough for me....

I have and the concept seems pretty far fetched in real world application.

Agreed, except that a current Nano doesn't have facetime or a camera... the reason why I find it interesting is more the overall styling than the proposed features...

I stand corrected. Everything else I had read made it seem like a "pipe dream" it does seem to be however at this point rather inadequate for producing a full charge unless you have a lot of time... Anyway thanks for the update and maybe it will come to pass after all.

This reminds me of an experience that a local radio station engineer witnessed years ago in the mid-late 1940s or early '50s.

An experimental one million watt radio broadcasting tower was setup in the eastern US and they discovered one wedge shaped area was only receiving some weak signals.

So they set out from the broadcasting antenna in the direction of the weak signal looking for the cause. Some miles out they discovered that some enterprising scout leader had setup a huge wire antenna grid and it was being used to capture the powerful signal to power their scout camp. Pretty clever. ;)
