LOS ANGELES — Ernest Borgnine, the beefy screen star known for blustery, often villainous roles, but who won the best-actor Oscar for playing against type as a lovesick butcher in “Marty” in 1955, died Sunday. He was 95. :(

Tabloids had killed him so many times I thought he must have died quite awhile back.

Always looked like he was enjoying life so for that reason alone he will be missed.

RIP Earnest... Watched him in McHale's Navy and Airwolf. Probably saw him a few other things too.

Dirty Dozen is another great movie with Ernie. Boy! 4 Marriages and he lived to 95:yikes:

I was browsing an RV site ad discovered that Ernest was an RVer and was touring America with his son Cris, making a series "On The Road" just a few short months before he died. They shot this video as a staged 'goodbye' that became his last. You can watch a part of the series here:
