: Best Provider

Hey guys,

Wondering what is the best provider for iphones, for upgrading. As in, if I wanted to upgrade yearly, whats the cheapest route? Are bells, rogers, and telus' "early upgrade plans" the same?

Also, who has good deals about if you move somewhere that they don't provide. I'm currently in moncton for flight school, go to NL frequently, and hoping to join the RCMP soon, so I may be in regina, then up north. Basically, I'm asking because my Iphone 4s was stolen lately, and I'm thinking of leaving bell due to crappy customer service I have experienced.

Thanks.

Well I think for you the best option and I know not the cheapest option is buy an unlocked phone from Apple and sign no contract with any carrier. This way you can use the phone where ever you are. Since you may be moving allot one carrier might not be the best choice in some areas so having a phone not on contract allows you freedom.

Most carriers will change the upgrade policies just before the next iPhone comes out so what it is today may not be what it is on launch day of the next iPhone.

I know my next iPhone this year will be from Apple and off contract unless Rogers gives me some smoking deal and it has to be out of this world for me to stay on contract.

If you may be in the RCMP soon, I would suggest not signing a contract with whoever you switch to (or stay with Bell for the mean time).

Many police forces (and other organizations, for that matter), negotiate special deals for employees. They can have huge cost savings over the retail plans, and would be worth checking out before making a commitment.
