I'm looking for suggestions for a cloud-based storage system with a good text-editor solution. I just realized that I can do actual work on my iPad, which gives me the option of working in more locations without having to haul my MBP around. :)
Here's what would make for my perfect solution:
A standalone iPad app would be great, but I'll work with a web-interface in Safari if needed.
Ideally, it would be a cloud-storage pure play, along the lines of Dropbox or Box.net. (Are there good text editors that work well with either of these?)
Not iCloud. Not all the machines I'll be using have Lion installed (including my main MBP), a situation that I don't control.
Not Google. I'm trying to limit my exposure to Google. Not entirely, but if other options exist, I'll give them preference.
I don't understand WebDav servers much, but I'd be willing to learn more if someone could recommend a reliable service.
So far, I've found that <gulp> Microsoft's SkyDrive with OneNote iPad app is the best option. But I'm thinking there might be better....
