I am new to this so please bare with me. I had to get my PC wiped clean due to viruses. I know need to get my contacts back into outlook express on my PC. Can anyone suggest how to do this.

G-Mo May 30th, 2012, 06:16 PM Check the Info tab under your iPhone in iTunes to sync your contacts back to your PC.
CanadaRAM May 30th, 2012, 06:22 PM Make sure you have Outlook Express installed first
Then the secret is to download and install iTunes on your PC first
Open iTunes.
Connect your iPod and wait for it to appear under Devices.
Select your iPod. This displays the iPod Preferences.
Click the Contacts tab, under the iPod tab.
Select the "Synchronize contacts from" checkbox.
From the menu, choose the program (Outlook, Outlook Express, or Microsoft Address Book that contains the contacts you want to sync with your iPod.
Click Apply.

blondeuser May 30th, 2012, 06:57 PM I have tried this and it does not do anything in my Outlook Express?? I am quite frustrated. It looks so easy? I do not want to replace my contacts on my phone with contacts in Outlook, I want to replace contacts in Outlook with contacts from my phone?? Does it have something to do with Icloud backing it up already??
pm-r May 30th, 2012, 07:42 PM I don't know if it will still work for your situation, but a method I have used to get contacts and email/address etc. stuff moved and transferred from/to/from various windows/macs is to setup an account (and you can opt out later) using the Plaxo method.
Plaxo - your address book for life. (http://www.Plaxo.com/)
Basically with a Plaxo.com account setup, you upload your needed contact info from one source, and then use the target computer/idevice to access the same user info and use it's "download" and sync type option.
And it's much easier to do than my rather general vague confusing description.
Just check out their site for the various options. ;)
polywog May 31st, 2012, 07:04 AM If you're on iCloud, you should only need to simply install iCloud for windows, and set up syncing. I'm not sure what the prompts look like on windows, but I believe it will ask if you want to replace the contacts on your computer with those in the cloud.

I already told you in post #2.
blondeuser Jun 4th, 2012, 08:58 PM Thanks G-Mo
I appreciate the reply - this is where i get misunderstood - because i have tried this with no success.
This is why i am so frustrated. I plug in my phone. Select it and then under info have all of the correct places checked. But still nothing is transfering into outlook express.
Do you think it has something to do with Icloud.
Unfortunately - i cannot install icloud for Pc on my computer because I am not using Vista or later.
So many roadblocks - ahhhhhh
Any new ideas?
