: VMWare and Lion

Hey Guys and Girls,

I have a question which I am sure is a touchy subject...

I just got a new Toshiba 17" laptop. (Why you ask, it was 50 dollars, plus I had to buy a new motherboard for it) It is 17.3" 8GB of DDR3, Intel core i3, and a 650GB HDD. This thing kills my mid 2010 macbook.

So here is my question. I have installed Lion (which I purchased when it came available last year) under VMWare. I have 10.7.3 installed, and everything is working good. I want to update to 10.7.4, but I don't want to break the image.

Does anyone have any experience using Lion within a VM which might be able to give me some help updating it?

Any help would be appreciated.

I haven't done it, but is there any compelling reason to update from 10.7.3 to 10.7.4?

I like to keep my software up-to-date for security reasons. I come from a Windows background, so the updates are important for Windows. I just figured the updates are important for Mac as well. If there is no real reasoning behind updating to 10.7.4, then I will just leave it at 10.7.3
