The reason is in photos you lose ability to turn photos if you update the iPad 1 to iOS 5 Any help please? Thanks, Kev. Bowserm May 16th, 2012, 09:16 AM You can do it as long as you have your SHSH saved. Use Tiny Umbrella and it works great. Also, once you downgrade to ios4, you will not be able to restore from a backup that had 5 on it. From what i am reading though, your iPad has never been jailbroken, so I am guessing that it isn't going to work. When your showing pictures if one is sideways there was a little arrow on the top to turn the picture, its gone in the iPad 1 with iOS 5 installed. Functionality is not the same from iPad 1 to the iPad 2! I have over a 1000 photos and there all in order as per holiday. with iOS 4 it was easy to just rotate the pic. when showing to my friends now i have rotate the iPad to see pic. .
