I hope this is the correct ehmac forum to post to...

I normally really appreciate most and some of the ads I get at ehmac and don't mind supporting the site which I gather helps support the site, BUT...

Lately I been getting all kinds of ads for various "singles" and "dating" type sites which are neither Mac related and as a retired married senior Mac user I find them to be quite offensive.

If they don't stop in the very near future, I will be forced to enable my Ad Blocking software to block all ads from the ehmac site, and I guess that lowers any potential revenue support for the ehmac site.

Or maybe there's another better suggestion from the mayor and/or his staff that I could use.

If you see the ad again, please note the URL / website of the offending ad, or name of the service (Please don't click the ad), and send me a PM, and I will block the specific advertiser.

To get the URL, I gather just using a single click on such an ad and using the 'Copy Link' option works???

The world is full of things I don't agree with and it's my choice to decide what I pay attention to. If you see things you don't like on the net or IRL then ignore them. Trying to control something you disagree with is a bit overbearing. Do you think the world (or anything specific within it) exists to suit your tastes?

I am talking about all life in general and ignoring what we don't like. Don't tell me what I'm suggesting like some goon. I meant exactly the words I said and if your delusions get in the way then I can't help you with that.

You are your own filter and if you are incapable of filling that role for yourself then maybe you should be working on that rather than trying to get others to filter things for you.

I am sometimes mistaken for a hammock or a juice machine. Not sure how I could be both. Hammock juice? Doesn't sound very appetizing.

As I hinted at in that post I chose to catch a fish so I can teach it a valuable skill and then release it so it may teach others. I will call it the Canadian fish education initiative. Do I have your support?

Eat a fish and you eat it only once. Teach a fish a valuable skill and it will establish a school in your name. Yes, you have my moral support. However, nothing will convince me to consume hammock juice.
