Now all my URL's I had in the Dock are invisible after updating to 10.7.4???
Late 2009 Quad i7 27" iMac.
.
This did not effect my 2012 MBA with 10.7.4 update.
After running the 10.7.4 combo updater on my10.7.3 iMac, the 5-6 URL icons (the @head key icon) on the right side of my dock have all becom tranparant or invisible. I can still click on them and see the web page title associated with each and they tell Safari the proper url address, but although they take space on the dock you see no icon image!
Fixed it,
Here's the easiest way to fix it, which worked for me:
Find an icon you want to use, the original or another (I found mine free online).
Save the icon as url.png - make sure it's formatted correctly!
Go to HD/System/Library/CoreServices/Dock.app/Contents/Resources/url.png
url.png was missing from my resources folder so I dragged and dropped the new url.png into the folder and restarted my iMac.
Open a web browser and drag a favicon to the the dock as a link and your icon should show up...mine did!
