Ok. So I want to run an Apple Hardware Test because I want to use the diagnostic tool to check my battery. I was going to follow the instructions from Intel-based Macs: Using Apple Hardware Test (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1509)
However, does running this test put me out? I heard it links up with Apple.

Firmware now supports networking, which is how you can use the AHT over the internet with Lion.

When you run the test does it send information to Apple?

Only after running it 3 times. (3 strikes and you're out)

So what your saying is I shouldn't just run it for the sake of running it?
