Looks like RIM has a new campaign - pretty sad and funny at the same time..
Wake Up. Be Bold. (http://www.wakeupbebold.com/)

not sure if this will work for them..

Maybe they should make devices people want instead of begging..

I almost fell asleep waiting for the signature line. That might have wowed them in '85...

Was this a spoof or real?

Clicking the logo takes one to the Australian BlackBerry site, where the same tag lines are being used.

That is the most pitiful thing I have ever seen. Gawd.

I saw this earlier today and I have to agree its sad to see them basically begging people to buy a blackberry. Obviously they are in a difficult time right now (no one in their right mind would buy a blackberry today) the hardcore fanboys will know to wait for the new bb10 devices coming later this year, while practically everyone else has already jumped ship to android or iPhone.

Blackberry is only losing the market they should never have gained in the first place -- tweens and teens. Blackberries were cool among this crowd for 15 minutes and now they've moved on. Well most of them, one of my friends went from Blackberry to iPhone then ran kicking and screaming back to Blackberry.

In the corporate world, Blackberries, like Windows XP, will continue to have a stranglehold. As long as RIM shows their continuing commitment to their core market, they will be fine. Attempting to woo in the teens and 20's will be like Mazda in the 80s when they tried to be Toyota and failed at it.

Even in the corp world they are losing market fast. Our company has essentially completely shifted from BB to iPhones

unless they switch to active sync and be more like an iPhone they are done like dinner..
rumors are bb10 OS will support active sync, they better do something.. as I think people tired of the NOC centre and its control over everything. I personal did not ever like the OS.. so I stay with my hip top/side kick - which to me was pretty amazing until the iPhone came around..

It seams the BB is still the most secure of all the mobile devices. This will likely count for something in the business world.

I hear Apple may be addressing this shortly. Until then, I am careful what I put on my iPhone.
