I'm interested in purchasing an iSkysoft product and came across this site:

iSkysoft Coupon Codes - Get 50% Discount Coupon Codes On iSkysoft (http://iskysoft.regcoupon.com/)

Is this legit or should I be suspicious? iSkysoft doesn't say anything about coupon deals. Should buyer beware? The coupon adds a good discount, but if I'm providing a credit card number, I want to be sure.

I would purchase right from iSkysoft and try and copy and use the coupon codes on checkout.

Just tried. Got "invalid redemption code."

From what I can see, these coupon codes only work with the site itself. I don't think I'm going to risk my CC info just to save $15.

With a bit of checking and Googling, this appears to be a similar, and I'd call it a scam, from of of the various 500+ Affiliates of the mother company for which I can't recall their name.

I got stung last last fall after a purchase from tigerdirect.ca. I received an email shortly after asking if I'd like a discount on my next purchase and followed the confirmation details and then forgot about it.

I then later started getting emails from "Rewards Points" that I treated as SPAM & junk - until I happened to open one in March 2012 with some "special" offer, and right at the bottom of the email message in tiny blue print was a "check my account status" link. Huh??? What account is this??

Making a long 4 day check and and investigation story short, including various WTFs, I discovered that this "Rewards" affiliate had been charging and billing a $14.00/month to my CC account.

I was finally able to cancel the account and eventually got a full refund after contacting the affiliates' office. But a real PITA experience.

And to add to the tracking/billing problem, I discovered that our Royal Bank Visa had changed their on-line banking view in Nov/Dec '11 to hide all my CC transactions from my wife who does most of the banking on line which they called a "privacy issue". What a cop-out bunch of crap!!

As Joker Eh said - Good call. ;)

But I post for others to avoid anything like what we went through, and it and others like it just seem to be a similar scam ploy.

Yikes - I've heard about things like this, but have yet to run into them. Out of curiosity, what did TigerDirect have to say about this, if anything?

Is this a jointly held card? TDCanadaTrust has issued us cards with separate numbers on the same account, but both of us can see ALL the purchases made on the account, no matter which card they were made with. If it's a jointly held card, then the Royal is just bonkers. Do they expect one of you to pay it without knowing what the other one spent money on? If it's not a jointly held card and you're the only person on the account, your wife would have to log into your online banking to see the charges at just about any bank I can think of. (We have one card that my husband has which isn't joint, and I have to login to his account to see it/pay it even though just about everything else we have other than TFSA and RRSPs is jointly held. We only got it because a few years ago TD was offering free iPods with new accounts with credit cards tied to them!!)

Yup, quite bizarre Paddy and I'm not sure that everything with our Royal Bank joint Platinum Avion Visa account is completely sorted out. But I didn't wan't to bore a Mac site with all the details of our RBC Visa problems. But it's sure related when making any online Mac related purchase stuff!! ;)

We both have our own CC numbers and I'm apparently the "master" user with my wife listed as a supported user.

With various phone calls to RBC Visa, they finally admitted that there were some problems with their accounting and our accounts and since then (March 2011) ALL our two CC purchases are now finally listed on my wife's on-line login statement to view, but only under and via her online CC account, which is OK. At least she can now see them all,

Then I noticed with some more recent online purchased in N.A. and Europe for her upcoming trip, I was not getting any requests for the three digit CC code that I had signed onto with their online CC "security" purchase feature.

About six more calls to get that sorted out and hopefully resolved, and their later "support" required access to their fourth layer "security" techs to hopefully get things sorted out.

Bottom line I guess is check and double check any CC transactions and any statements and charges - IF they are even shown or are even listed.

My alert flags are still up and running!! ;)
