For some darn reason all the tool bars under favourites as well the desktop
have questions marks "?" in two or three places. The marks are faded.
I ran into this problem some time ago whereby a folder ended up in the tool bar;
can't recall how how I eliminated same..
Ideas or suggestions?

Tried that, tells me the file can't be found, then drops back t the toolbar.
also repaired permissions just in case, and just looked, now I have another question mark!
Looked in the toolbar revision area, nothing there either.

Hold down the Command key while dragging the question mark off the toolbar.

Thank you, thank you.
That did the trick.
Knew it was simple, just needed direction.
