2 months ago I bought a used late 2007 Macbook 3,1 and the store put a brand new Apple battery in it. It has been working fantastic until today...
Last night I closed the lid to put it in sleep mode, I think it had 30% left on the battery or something. I don't think it was plugged in. Today I go to turn it on and it is completely dead. I plugged in the AC and it's saying "not charging" and "replace battery now".
I tried the SMC reset (unplug take out battery, hold power button till it beeps, tried the same thine with the battery in as well) that did nothing. The battery itself does not have any of the little LEDs lit up on it while plugged in, and the cord it always green not orange (when charging). I bought it at Mostly Digital in London, I hope they will give me a new battery since it only has like 30 cycles on it, but it's past their 30 day warranty so I might have to buy one..
Is there anything else I can try and do before bringing it to the shop?
